From fitness events to community gatherings, we’ve got you covered. Plus, we’ve already got our holiday hours planned out so you can schedule your training in between the upcoming festivities. Check out what we’ve got planned, including programming previews from our head coach!

And if you haven’t yet, you’ve got a few more days to vote for us for the “Best of Ravenswood” as your “Favorite Place to Get Moving!”

Community Ruck, Lost Language Opens, Private Shop at Vuori, and our annual Friendsgiving

Ruck with Britta

We’re closed November 8-9 for our upcoming CF-L1 seminar, but athlete, Britta D., is leading our community for an urban ruck to our local food pantry at 9a on Saturday, Nov. 8.

We’ll share more details during our class announcements soon, but for now, plan to bring a backpack filled with dry goods and pantry items.

And congrats to Andy Brink and Nate Abraham for winning our scholarship spots for the CF-L1!

It’s time to sauna

Lost Language is soft opening Tuesday, October 28 - Friday, November 14 to Feast community members, neighbors, and friends. Book a session during their modified hours to help them gather feedback about the experience before opening to the public. Use code ‘staywarm’ for $10 off your first session!

Private Shop at Vuori

Our friends at Vuori are hosting us for a private, community shopping event from 8:15a-10a on Sunday, November 16. Register to shop with a 20% off discount—and tell your Feast fam to join you!

Friendsgiving

Coach Terri is hosting our favorite event of the year…the one where everyone brings delicious food and burpees aren’t invited!

Join us for Friendsgiving at 11a on Saturday, November 22. Sign-up sheets to bring a dish-to-share go out on the front desk the first week of November.

All friends and family are invited to join us! You won’t want to miss this Feast ;)

December

Adopt-a-Family, Secret Santa, and our annual Holiday Party

Adopt-a-Family

Children’s Place Association bridges those who can give with those in need of support during the holiday season—and all year ‘round. Our Feast fam buys gifts and gift cards for families each year and this one’s no exception!

This year’s drop-off is December 1 — which means our sign-up sheets to purchase gifts will be out in November! Stay tuned to class announcements to participate!

Secret Santa

Each year our members sign up for a fun, gym-wide Secret Santa! Interested participants can sign up at the front desk to receive and purchase a gift for a fellow member. It’s light-hearted and a great way to get to know your team members…because if you choose someone you don’t know, your coaches and fellow athletes will help you with gift ideas.

Sign-up sheets go out the first week in December!

Feast Holiday Party

We promise it’s just as cute as this picture.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 13 from 7p-11p for our annual holiday party! We cater bites from Tuco and Blondie, along with beer, wine, and seltzers. It’s our favorite way to wrap up the year and celebrate the season with our members and coaches.

Festive attire encouraged but never required :)

Notes from our head coach on our current and upcoming cycles

engine: now - dec

Expect plenty of deadlifts, power snatches, power cleans, and pull variations — building stronger lifts from the ground up. That strength will carry over into our Olympic lifts, where we’ll focus on positional work and mix in some heavier complexes to improve both form and confidence under load.

Conditioning will center around quick, repeatable efforts designed to build grit and improve your ability to push, recover, and go again. You’ll also see threshold-style workouts and EMOMs to help you dial in pacing and develop consistency at higher intensities.

In gymnastics, we’ll see an increase in volume and progressions toward higher-skill movements. Expect a balance of strict strength work and skill-based progressions.

We’ll be testing Grace and 21.1, and retesting Helen and Echo Bike Intervals to track progress and performance.

And remember — not every day needs to be all-out. Listen to your body:

  • Feeling sluggish? Slow down, focus on quality, maybe scale the load.

  • Feeling great? Those are your days to send it.

  • Learning when to push, when to pull back, and when to rest is a skill and this cycle is the perfect time to practice it.

Strength Focus: Hinging + Pressing
Weightlifting Focus: Heavy & Positional Work for Snatch + Clean
Conditioning Focus: Interval & Threshold Efforts
Gymnastics Focus: Higher Volume + Skill Progressions

Benchmarks:

  • Grace

  • 21.1

  • Helen (Retest)

  • Echo Bike Intervals (Retest)

Ignite: dec - feb

This cycle is about turning strength into capacity. We’ve built the foundation and now we’re learning to hold power and composure as workouts get longer and more Open-style.

You’ll see more barbell cycling, gymnastics stamina, and workouts that force you to stay in control when your heart rate climbs. Strength work will still be heavy, but with more emphasis on repeatable effort and barbell control under fatigue.

The conditioning shifts toward threshold training— learning where your redline is and how to work just below it. That skill is what separates training from performance and sets us up for success as we move closer to Open prep.

Strength Focus:Squat + Olympic Lifting Strength
Weightlifting Focus: Barbell Cycling
Conditioning Focus: Threshold Training & Open-Style Workouts
Gymnastics Focus: Efficiency Under Fatigue

Benchmarks:

  • 19.1

  • 20.1

  • 5-Minute RMU Retest

  • Grace (Retest)
