Join us in HOLDING THE STANDARD on Saturday, May 24 for this annual Hero Workout!
“Murph” honors the legacy of Lieutenant Michael Murphy who died in the line of duty in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. This workout has become a longstanding tradition observed by many CrossFit affiliates and gyms around the globe—and has become a way for communities to come together to use their strength to honor the strength of others. At Feast, we welcome all athletes and members to join us for a day of grit and gratitude, followed by a gathering with food and drinks.
THE WORKOUT: For Time
1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1-mile run
You can partition this workout however you’d like, though we suggest 20 rounds of 5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups and 15 air squats. You can also do this workout with a teammate: run together and split the rounds, “I go, you go.” Your coaches will be there to support you and help you choose movement scales that feel challenging but manageable.
But whatever journey you choose, we ask that you hold the standard.
Like years past, we’re asking all Murph participants to be extremely accountable about complying with movement standards—especially squat depth and full hip extension at the top of every air squat and full push-up range of motion (arms fully extended at the top, chest hits the floor at the bottom with a stable midline). This workout is about doing the required work—not about rushing to finish.

Congratulations to coaches Greg and Anna who recently renewed their CrossFit L2 at Feast this month! They joined other talented coaches eager to learn and grow. Because when there’s a chance to level up, we always say “yes!”

Way to ROW, Team Feast!
Our community raised over $4,000 in scholarships for Feast members in need by coming together on a Sunday in April—to row a marathon in teams of 10!

Feast Took on Bucktown Battlegrounds!
Congratulations to Feast fam Sam, Brendan, Kaitlyn, and Coach Anna on their strong performance at the Bucktown Battlegrounds Alliance competition in April. We loved seeing their hard work in action—and having a reason to take a team field trip. Plus, Sam and Anna walked away with 1st place!
Thanks for representing Feast, team! We’re so proud of you!
